
Pramod Apet

Born in Girwali, Maharashtra, Pramod Apet completed his graduation in Art from Abhinav Kala Mahavidyalaya, Pune and a Diploma in Art Education from Sir J J School of Art, Mumbai. He has won several awards like the K. K. Hebbar Award, the V. V. Oak Certificate and the Concern India Foundation Certificate - all in 2000. He has participated in the Art Society of India in 1999 and 2000, the Bombay Art Society in 2000, 2001 and 2006. He has exhibited at Museum Barli, Bandung, Indonesia and at the World Trade Centre, Jakarta, Indonesia.
Pramod Apet is a promising artist and is known for his figural forms with theatrical elements in it. His figures are young, engaging, calm with themes, straight from Indian mythology. Despite using subdued colors, his paintings are bold and bright due to his confident strokes and the close view he captures. Pramod is able to highlight the side of India that few are able to see in this new modern age.
