Prabhinder Lall
(b.1955)
Prabhinder Lall a painter, graphic designer, and draughtsman has a unique architectural style inherited from his architect father. His perception of space is volumetric. These examples illustrate his creative distinction. He is one such artist, whose immense interest in experimentation has enabled him to give a new dimension to his vision and modes of expression.
This Chandigarh based artist professionally started exploring his artistic skills in mid-seventies. He has tried his hand at making Drawings, Print Making, Painting and Photography. He has travelled a long way to accomplish his creativity and talent. His recent works show varied hues of experience in the field of art.
Lall's work depict his varying moods. His works are marked with brand of vast landscape scenes embedded with architectural arrangements. Serenity prevails all around. Mountains with isolated houses, without habitats, are often seen in his works. Wider skies are filled with graded tones. And that catches and spells the magic on the viewer. Sometimes the mood of the work is so intense that one feels the artist is in solitude and wants to wander in search of space and only space. Many a time, the mountains are transformed into feminine figures resting in the open. Dark blue, green, grey and purple colours give the works a mystique look.
Prabhinder’s recent observation on urban culture is melodious, aesthetic and expressive. One can easily feel that his sense of melody is fast changing with the urban cultural hues spectrum which is truly appreciable. His work has been acknowledge and displayed throughout the country and has been collected by many museums, art galleries and private collectors.
