Abhimanyu Ray is a young and promising artist who decided quite early in life that his vocation was going to revolve around art and design. He does not have a degree in art or any other formal training in the field and he firmly feels that art, like poetry, must flow from within. Abhi believes that art at it's best must inevitably reflect the national roots of the artist and also his cultural and historical environment. He uses the style called 'cross-hatching’ with ink on paper, a technique he has raised to a new level of refinement and sophistication.
