In Jagmohan Bangani's early paintings, the subjects were the colours, hopes, disappointments and spirit of his village. Then the bright light, rat-race, artificiality, insecurity of the bigger city, the aspirations of the daily struggle of hundreds of thousands of people in Delhi, provided him inspiration. The elements in his paintings have a symbolic form in which the sword primarily represents capabilities and skill.
