Avi Roy

Strong colours, well defined strokes and soft highlights are the characteristics of Avi Roy's works. His human subjects sport sombre, oval faces with expressive, yet inscrutable eyes. His use of colour and shading is almost surreal, but remains in harmony with the picture. Patterns, symmetrical and neat, as well as insect and animal motifs appear alongside his figures, perhaps anchoring them to our world.
