Anil Gaikwad's interest in art is to explore different aspects of the worldly life. He plays with colours and textures in both paintings and sculptures. His works have a sublime, serene aura of their own; brought out by the cool lighting, like moonlight, or the light from sunset or dawn. The images may give a reminder of landscapes, but is clearly not one.
